En Munchkin Gloom, cada jugador tiene un GRUPO de cinco PERSONAJES y trata de que su grupo sea el más desgraciado mientras alegra a los grupos de los demás jugadores.
Los personajes se entristecen o alegran principalmente cuando se juegan CARTAS DE MODIFICADOR sobre ellos.
Cada carta de Modificador afecta a la puntuación de Autoestima del personaje sobre el que se juega.
Los jugadores también juegan y descartan CARTAS DE EVENTO para obtener efectos inmediatos.
A medida que progresa la partida, las historias de los personajes van terminando cuando sobre ellos se juegan CARTAS DE MUERTE PREMATURA.

¿Sueñas con romper con monstruos de cualquier tipo? Munchkin es EL juego que mejor satisface este deseo.
Juegas como un aventurero que explora una mazmorra. Para ganar, debes llegar al nivel 10 de la torre eliminando todas las criaturas que se ponen en tu camino. Pero no estás solo. Otros exploradores te acompañan y tienen el mismo objetivo: llegar el 1 a la cima de la mazmorra.
Ya sean los monstruos a los que se enfrenta o el equipo que encontrará en la mazmorra, el humor está presente en cada carta. De bububule, el pez en su acuario a un dragón, pasando por un ratón o una planta carnívora, la mazmorra está llena de divertidas sorpresas y oponentes más o menos tontos. Pero afortunadamente también encontrará muchos equipos que le otorgan ciertos bonos. Entonces estarás listo para enfrentar todas las situaciones. Ahí de nuevo el humor es de la parte, como con este bikini en cota de malla.
Durante tu exploración, te encontrarás con monstruos más baleces que tú. En este caso, pide ayuda a otros aventureros y une fuerzas. Pero estación de tren en las hormigues! Esta cooperación puede ser de corta duración. Otros jugadores pueden penalizarte lanzando malus.. Por ejemplo, podrás cambiar de sexo y perder tus bonos asociados o tener monstruos adicionales en tus peleas. ¡Sé el más inteligente y ve al último piso de la mazmorra antes que nadie!
